    3. very much so ! Everything is of interest , family photos , town photos , events, even landscape photos' people who are doing genealogy for Fannin and Grayson often have in their minds the 'look' Texas has from old John Wayne movies! They have no idea of the beauty northTexas has. They think sometimes we are out in a desert with some rattlesnakes curled about our sun roasted feet. The rolling hills and green dales are beautiful . I've also found that other states just don't understand the beauty this place has in its flowers in the spring ( I visited Tenn. this spring and was flabergasted, I thought they had nice wildflowers everywhere too and they only had maybe 10% everywhere I went compared to here!Tennessee is pretty and the area that I saw is not much different in plants except a big shortage of wild flowers and roses) This spring I've stood in a field in Fannin Co. with some 20 acres or so, so solid in Indian blanket it looked like you could walk on it like a yellow and orange floor. They dont' see the extreme colors we get in the fall foliage and probably think that only goes on in the north east. I can go down a road with a white chalky field of cactus and cedar and turn to the other side and see lush grasses and huge oak and pecan trees lining it. We have wide flat expanses where the old flood plains from the Bois d'Arc creek backed up and the Red River flooded to the extreme valleys and hill around Valley creek, I always feel like yodeling there! so photographs that you have taken just for the beauty of the view ( like old barns and bridges etc) could be put in an 'album' set of pages so those who are wanting to know what it is like here could enjoy it) So much to do! 3. Does anyone have pictures from the Monkstown school that they can scan me? My husband's uncle from CA and his aunt from South TX will be together here on Saturday night. They went to school there and may be able to identify some of the students. Also we have heard that the Monkstown Cemetery has been returned to graze land. Is this true? If so were the remains relocated, if so where? Also what happened to the markers? My husband's ancestor were buried there. 3. Susan, When my grandfather, Gus Holmes, died in 1964 my father sold the land where my great grandparents and one of their children were buried and moved the monuments to Burns. Philip Earnhart told daddy that if they dug they would probably only find a rusty casket handle so daddy just had the monuments moved. I am also a cousin by marriage to Charlie Blanton who said he had helped you with some Leonard history. Please let me know how I can get in contact with you and I will bring you what I have to scan. My mother kept a scrapbook that has alot of Trenton history in it because it is full of old newspaper clippings and pictures. I also have the letters about Pilot Grove that W.C. Holmes wrote to his future wife in Mississippi when he first came to Pilot Grove to be their doctor. Deanne > wonderful. Anyone with such things I would love a scan ! The other day I uploaded a page that promply disappeared when the backup computer at rootsweb went offline. I give up for a short while till I get the go ahead.
