    3. Robert, My Henry Ward was in Fannin County, but he was in Lamar County in 1880, then he went over to Fannin County. In fact he and his wife Harriet are buried in Fannin County somewhere. I am sorry if I was confusing. I want to thank you though for all you sent. I had no idea there were 2 other Henry Wards in Lamar County in 1880. Thank you, thank you so much. Maybe I am confused, but I thought his wife's name was Ruth Ellen Clinkenbeard. I thought Locke had never married and was killed in a train accident after he returned from WWI. He wrote several letters to his parents looking forward to returning home, never mentioning a wife. I have a box of letters written by Eli Penwell during the Civil War, and also letters written by Locke during WWI. I don't remember him ever mentioning a wife in his letters. After his death, his mother (Ruth) was given a ring with a star on it in memory of Locke. I have that ring.
