His parents were Reverand Caleb (or Calep) Thomas Edwards, and Jincy Ann Moore Edwards. I am looking for any information about his family. He had many other brothers and sisters too. Caleb (aka Rev. C.T. Edwards) was supposedly a "circuit-riding" Methodist Minister, and Jincy Ann, who was born in Lee County VA was said to be Native American or Melungeon. The family was in Fannin and Grayson TX in the late 1870's -1880's, then returned home to Arkansas. Does anyone have anything on this family? Thank you!

I see that it has been a year since you posted this, so I hope you get my reply. Unfortunately, I can't help you, but I am hoping you can help me with some information. My mother-in-law, her name is also Joyce Nowell-Davis, was the granddaughter of Richard Hall and Sara Elizabeth Wolf(e). Her father was Joseph Saul Nowell, who was obviously John's brother. Your message is the only thing I have found at this point that links any Nowell's I have read about to her grandfather. She has no information on her father's brothers and sisters. Can you provide any information at all? I can't tell you how grateful I would be. Thank you, Jerri Davis
