    2. Dennis Kowallek
    3. Listers: I have Fannin Co. Marriages, Vols. P-Q, 1903-1908 (FHL Film No. 1293834) on loan at my local FHC for another month. If anyone would like a lookup, feel free to email me PRIVATELY. These marriage records DO NOT list the parents of the bride and groom. What you get are the names of the bride and groom, application date, marriage date, return date, recording date, minister name, county clerk name, and deputy name. My local FHC does not have a printer attached to the film reader, so I cannot get paper copies. This is the first time I have offered to do lookups, so I hope I don't get swamped! We'll see if this works out. -- Dennis M. Kowallek kowallek@iglou.com --

    3. Are you sure these still work? I just tried TS death and got unavailable. If it's not working, Rootsweb should remove the link. I used to make a lot of use of these sites. As far as my experience in the last few months, my old links have not been functional. I'm really glad I printed out some of my surnames, We have a few of the old ASCII files downloaded from the state, but they are difficult to work with. I think the ones we pulled were back in the 60's or 70's, Judy Busch ----- Original Message ----- From: <JRSudderth@aol.com> To: <TXFANNIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 04, 2002 8:19 AM Subject: Re: [TXFANNIN-L] Texas Indexes from Texas Dept of Health > You can find Death Indexes from CA, KY, TX, and ME at > http://searches.rootsweb.com. > > These apparently the information which was at the official state sites until > they were closed for security reasons. 3. Researchers -- I have the 1880 LDS Census and will do a limited number of lookups for the next few weeks, as I have some time. I can search for any person, given sufficient data - date of birth is most helpful, place of birth, parents names, siblings, etc. In the mean time, I am looking for a connection with Samiel/Samuel B Taylor, b 1810 (TN), d 1886 (Williamson CO, TX). He was married to Mary (Polly) Donham/Dunham in Fayette CO, AL, and sired several children there: William Perry, George Gutry, Nancy Pabry, Milbry Pennia. He was probably living with nearby relatives, who later moved to Fannin/Cherokee COs: Levi Taylor, William S. Taylor, and Charles S. Taylor. I need a connection, and a common ancestor for them all. Lets help each other. Robert Lynn Taylor

    3. walls barbie -- The LDS Census does not find a John Sanders who is of the right age to be the father of your John Sanders, in TX. It is possible that he moved or died by 1880. There is also no Phobie/Phoebe/Pho* Sanders in TX in 1880. This should help "in reverse" - you can look elsewhere. Robert Lynn Taylor
