    1. [TXFANNIN-L] James Longmire: Fannin County TX Census 1920?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Longmire Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1hB.2ACE/1466.2.1.1 Message Board Post: Because of his age I thought I might find him in the 1880 Fannin Co census as 3 years old.. There is a James Longmire but he's in his 20's born in TN with parents born in TN. He has no son named James. On the next page is a William Longmire in his 50's with no son named James. My next suggestion would be to get death certificate if you know his death date and location and then call the local library to look up an obit. I hope this helps you.

    1. [TXFANNIN-L] 1880 Fannin Co. Census lookup
    2. Rogers/VanOverbeke Family
    3. Robert, Are you still doing some lookups on the 1880 Fannin Co. Census? Looking for info. on a J.O. Herren (I believe this is the correct spelling) who married Jane Rogers and wondering if they are listed. JO was born about 1842 and died April 8, 1909 in Fannin Co. Jane was born March 1849 in Fannin Co. and died May 1902. They are both buried at the Hampton Cemetery in Edhube but I have found no record of them in Fannin County in preceding years. I live in Minnesota so it has been difficult to research. Jane Rogers is the sister of my direct ancestor and I am trying to find out if they had children and to locate descendants as I have an original document that I would love to be able to present them with. Thank you for taking the time to help some of us out, Robert. It is greatly appreciated. Donna Rogers

    1. Re: [TXFANNIN-L] Re: Research Fowler
    2. Charlene... How would your Mary Ann Fowler Gage be related to my Mary Ann Fowler? The only real information I have on the Fowlers is that Mary Ann was born in GA in 1834. Her parents were Miles Wilburn Fowler and Amanda Arnold. I am not certain....but I believe it is possible that the Fowlers came to Mississippi from Horry County, SC in the mid 1850's. I believe Miles was born 7 April 1806 and died 2 January 1893. MAF married my ggg-grandfather, David Reasons Looney, Squire in Pontotoc County, MS on 16 September 1858. All this is very strange....my MAF was just getting married 1858 when your MAF died in 1854 in Fannin County, TX. According to my map, McKinney, TX is just southwest of Honey Grove, Fannin County, TX which is where they are all buried. There is a collection of Ayers/Looney/Fowler all buried in New Salem Cemetery just outside Honey Grove. I don't know if there were any other Fowler siblings or not. I have spoken (online) with another of our Fowler "cuzins" and will be happy to give you their names (emails) if you are interested. I would also be delighted to continue to work through this if you still think there is a possible connection although I have never in my research run into the name GAGE. Look forward to hearing from you. Happy Huntin' Ginny Ayers Spann <>< VASPANN@aol.com RESEARCHING: Ayers, Bennett, Byrom, Fowler, Green, Gross, Hammontree, Kyle, Ladd, Looney, Seabolt & Stone

I have a David Philip Neely and I think he died in northern Texas – possibly in the Grayson County area sometime after 1909. He married Mary Marton probably before 1901. Their children were: *Charles Wesley Thomas Neely, b. 5/6/1901, Snow Hill, Collin County, TX; d. 6/19/1977, Sweet Home, Linn County, OR *Clara Neely Wolfe, b. after 1903. Believe she lived in Lubbock TX on Sixth St. and Baylor St. *David C. Neely, b. after 1905. He married Alta Unknown. Their children were: Perry Neely, Roy Glen Neely *Hazel Neely Parrish, b. aft 1906. *Goldie Neely, b. aft 1908. After David Philip Neely died Mary Marton Neely married Unknown Godwin. Their children were: *Clint Godwin, b. after 1910. *Cleo Godwin, b. after 1912. All children were raised by Godwin so I’m assuming David Philip Neely died. Charles Wesley Thomas Neely married Jessie Whitworth 5/1/1920.
