She disliked the name Augusta because she felt it was too manly and didn't care much for her middle name because of it's length...Ann was much simpler. Before her death, she requested "Gussie Lee" be placed on her gravestone - minus her middle name. (Lee was her married name when she died.) My mother and her siblings complied with her wish. Perhaps you'll discover more information in your search using the correct name. Good luck!
Hello, My computer recently had a melt down and I lost the email for the Hardin researcher who recently emailed me. Mary, was any of your Richardsons of Cherokee descent? I am searching for the parents of my Grandmother Myrtle Richardson, a full blood Cherokee that married Tom Brian in Fannin County May 14, 1911. They later moved to somewhere around Chickasha, Oklahoma where my mother was born November 7, 1913. One or both of the parents died by about 1920 and my mother was raised by her Uncle LOUIE J. KING in Chaves County, New Mexico. Looking for records as to when my great grandfather came to TX and when he left TX. C. J. BRANN was on the 1870 KY Census and on the 1880 TX Census. There was some kind of a land purchase/sale between C. J. and his sister, Harriet DOBSON, in 1884. He was not in TX then. Would like to narrow down the time. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

I believe the head of the family is either Harry or Harvey, the wife is Viola and the children, as far as I can read, are: Carl, Sam, Raymon, Vivian, Harry/Harvey, Henry, Katie? and Maud?. I'm hoping that the Raymon mentioned here is my grandfather, Raymond Auto King. The age is right, his birth place (Arkansas) is right, and my aunt remembers some of those names, but her memory is quickly fading. Please help!
