Sharb who was raised by an Anderson family in Fannin Co./near Clutter Point, TX. Mathew's father was John Shorb (name was mis spelled in error to read Sharb and never changed) and was reputedly shot and killed either in Fannin Co. or near Denison, Grayson Co. TX. Matthew was born in 1895 and had a younger brother, Willie Shorb who was adopted and raised by the Wilder family. I believe Willie was younger than Mathew; so, the death of John Shorb was sometime after 189?. Mathew D. Sharb married Etta Estelle Bridges in 1920 at Clutter Point, Fannin Co. TX. Any information about Mathew's father or the family, Anderson, that raised him would be appreciated.

I have a softbound book that I purchased (around 1991) at the Bonhom Museum called "The Era Has Gone - But Memories Linger On". This book has 117 pages with many old pictures, Bonham historical stories and some family histories. I don't know if it's still available or not, but maybe it has some of the same pictures, etc. There is no date on the book that I can find but inside the front cover there is mention of "Reprint Funding provided by..." so this is a later printing. -----Original Message----- From: Hacic, Sonia [mailto:SHacic@DallasCowboys.net] Sent: Tue 1/28/2003 10:50 AM To: TXFANNIN-L@rootsweb.com Cc: Subject: RE: [TXFANNIN-L] pictorial history of fannin county The book is not available for sale.
