Surnames: Burkett Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.texas.counties.fannin/4126.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Thanks for all of this GREAT information. You have provided a great deal of very helpful information on this Burkett family. I also have suspected that Pearl's last name was Fain/Fane/Faine. So far, I have not been able to verify this theory. Do you know how to access Fannin County obituaries ?? I thought that since we know the death dates of David T. Burkett and Pearl Burkett, if we could locate their obituary, a great deal of family information could be found. I am trying to verify the parents of this David T. Burkett. So far, the closest possibility that I've been able to find is from the 1880 White County, Arkansas, census as a son of John W. Burkhead/Burkett. This David T. Burkett and Pearl, named their first son John W. Burkett, perhaps named for his father's name. Thanks for any guidance.
