In the 1860 Fannin County census, George W. Jones is listed with his wife, Nancy J. They are listed by initial, G. W. Jones, N. J. Jones. I have found a marriage record for them in Fannin for 1858. What I haven't found is what happened to them. I am interested in finding out if they stayed in Fannin County, had children, death dates and burial places. I am also interested in finding names of parents and siblings for Nancy. George W. Jones was an older brother to my great grandfather, Lewis Jones. Lewis is listed as a 12 year old living with them. George was born in 1835 in Tennessee, Lewis born 1848 in Tennessee. They are in Fayette County, TN in the 1850 census with parents, Thomas Jones and Margarite Allen Jones. The mystery is what happened to the family after 1850 census. I have been unable to find any members of the family other than George and Lewis in 1860. If anyone can help with the mystery of George and Nancy, I would greatly appreciate the help. --------------------------------------------- This message was sent using Endymion MailMan. http://www.endymion.com/products/mailman/

I have some Sadlers in my research, my McDonald research led me to Jackson County, Tennessee. I don't see a Frank in my files, but my research on Sadlers is sketchy.
I suggest you might want to go to the Fannin Co., TX website at USGenweb then look for cemeteries. You'll find a link to known interments at Burns. I do have some of the information on these descendants. I guess I should have made myself a little clearer. Frank's father was James Sadler from Jackson Tenn. James had two brothers. Their names were Henry and John. James was married to a woman named Melinda. (This is where my sister got her first name) Frank was born in Texas in 1849 and is buried in Dodd City Cemetery along with his wife Lillie Huddleston Sadler. I would like to know if there are any of the Sadlers still living in and around Fannin Co. Also with J.T (Thurman) Nash and his wife Lessie Sadler Nash, They are buried in the Windom Cemetery. They lived also in Lannius. They had three children Raymond, Marie and Joe Coy. My mother and both uncles went to school in Windom. Raymond married Berneace Ramsey in Windom. J.T.'s father was William T. Nash and his mother was Rebecca Rowel They had seven sons. I am not sure where William T was from. it says in the census that he was from Mississippi and then in another 10 years it states he is from Tenn. I really need to locate some of these relatives that might be living near or around Fannin Co. I have located the family of Amos J., his brother. Thank you, Aleth Brown

They moved around 1880 from NJ, with father Jacob, and sons Samuel T, William, Phillip, Benjamin, and Jacob Jr. There was one daughter, Mary C. Saylor. Samuel lived from 1820-1902, and he and his wife and children are buried at Oak Grove Cemetery. Father Jacob was born in 1796 in NJ, and it is not known when nor where he died. Benjamin, his wife Eliza Edinger, and son George W. Saylor all died of Yellow Fever between 1888 and 1889. Very little is known about the family. Where was their farm? Is there a private cemetery on the land? My husband is a gr-gr grandson of Benjamin and we are desparate to learn more about the family in Fannin County.
