There are no Keasler listings in the Fannin Co. phone book. Sorry......
My Great Grandfather J. T. (James Thomas) Richardson was a photographer in Fannin County and Collin County. I know he had a studio in Leonard at one time. The photographers traveled around from town to town such as they do today for school pictures. Have you tried just punching in the studio name on google and see what comes up? Surely someone out there has this information. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I called the library and found that they do not have any information about photography studios. I have established that one photo from the Crockett Bros. Studio was taken in 1895. One from the Hope-Guthrie Studio was taken in 1902. I believe one from the Ragsdale Studio was taken in about 1895. One photo from the Keasler Studio was taken about 1900, judging from the age of the children in the family photo. It looks like all of the mentioned studios may have been in business before and after the turn of the 20th century. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am looking for a marriage record of James Parkhill or J.M.Parkhill who married a Frances or Fannie B. Lusk in the eary 1900's. James wife Mary Parkhill died around 1905 and is buried in Collin County. James still had children and married a divorced woman by the name of Frances or Fannie Lusk. In the 1910 Census, he is shown to be 76 years old and Fannie is shown as 36 years old. James died in 1921 and is buried in Savoy. Frances died about 5 years later in a car wreck. Does anyone have any old papers showing obituaries or anything on either one of these. I would like to find out who she was and if they had any children or not. Can anyone help me? I am beyond help. Thank you, J. M. Parkhill IV As you can tell I have the same name as my great grandfather. Middle name is Marshall --------------------------------- Be a better Globetrotter. Yes, Whitewright lies in both Grayson and Fannin Counties - mostly in Grayson but the city is growing eastward some. Makes me wonder if it was laid out in both counties or just so near Fannin County that the city spread that direction. Interesting. The Penn at Kentuckytown was named William Perry Penn and he is written about in the book "Murder at the Corners" that can be seen at the Whitewright Library. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peggy" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, August 24, 2007 9:06 PM Subject: Re: [TXFANNIN] penn s of Fannin county, Texas > My daughter lives in Whitewright. Thanks to everyone for the valuable information. Now I will be able to make plans to save time. Even if I do not find what I am looking for at least I will have eliminated my sources. Right! Wish me luck. Thanks again. Janet --------------------------------- Sick sense of humor? Visit Yahoo! TV's Comedy with an Edge to see what's on, when.
