His two brothers were Eugene O’Connell Barton and Rufus King Barton, Sr. About 1900, William Thomas Barton was married to Fatima W. Walton, b July 30, 1883, d June 6, 1956, and they had seven children: Vera Agnes Barton, b September 1901 — married V. D. Ramby, of Marquez, Texas. David Allen Barton, b February 21, 1903, d February 24, 1975 — moved to Gladewater, Texas. Velma Vida Barton, b March 8, 1905 — married J. L. Irwin of Houston, Texas. Cecil Thomas Barton, b January 28, 1907, d Au-gust 4, 1921. Mae Belle Barton, b October 29, 1909 — married H. Boone Roberts — and they both taught school in Falls County, Texas. Emma Alice Barton , b March 10, 1912–married Edwin Rhea of Tyler, Texas. James Douglas Barton, b September 15, 1921, d June 6, 1977. William Thomas and Fatima W.(Walton) Barton were both buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Falls County, Texas.
