Barton, b ca 1817 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee, d after 1893 in Runnels County, Texas — was a son of David and Sarah(Borum) Barton II — moved with his parents to Fayette County, Alabama before 1830. About 1841, Isaac M. married Mary C. Brown, b ca 1824 in South Carolina, d ca 1873 in Falls County, Texas, where they had settled about 1848 with their first four children who were born in Alabama, and five others were born in Falls County, Texas. After the death of Mary C. (Brown) Barton, Isaac M. Barton married secondly in l874 to Mary Elizabeth Davis—a niece of Jane (Davis) Barton, Mary (Davis) Barton, and Catherine (Davis) Parsons, and they had three children born in Falls County: James A. Barton, b 1842 in Alabama — was murdered in Falls County, Texas. Harriett Barton, b ca 1843 in Alabama — married first in Falls County, Texas to John Wardlaw and had several children; married second after her first husband’s death to Buckner Killebrew — a noted Falls County Sheriff. Sarah M. Barton, b ca 1845 Alabama — died un married. Julianne C. Barton, b 1847 in Alabama — married in 1874 to George Davis. Samantha Barton, b 1854 in Texas — no information. David John Barton, b May 30, 1856 in Texas; d J anuary 7, 1891 in Falls County, Texas — married ca 886 to Mrs. Easter (Miers) Barton, widow of Henry F. Barton, and their children were: James David Barton, March 30, 1887, d March 22, 1965 — married Beulah Emily Barton, b July 4, 1888, d June 30, 1970 —daughter of Isaac and Allie (Oakes) Barton. (James David Barton and Beulah Emily Barton were very distantly related, as their great grandfather were brothers.) The second son of David John and Easter (Miers)Barton was Isaac Jay Barton, b ca 1889, married a Miss Rudersefl of Houston, Texas — no further information. The seventh child of Isaac M. and Mary C. (Brown) Barton was Mary Anne Barton, b 1858 in Falls County, Texas — no further information. Emma Barton, b ca 1860 in Texas no further in-mation. Lida P. Barton, b ca 1863 in Texas — married Marrch 30, 1886 to Thomas H. Edwards. By his second marriage to Mary Elizabeth (Davis), M. Barton’s three children were: Isaac Barton, b 1875; Myron Barton, b 1876; and Albani Barton, b 1878 After 1893, Isaac M. and Mary Elizabeth (Davis) Barton moved to Runnels County, Texas, where they both died.
