James Fleming and Anna Barton had five children: Itasca Pearl Barton, b May 25, 1882, d December 19, 1945 — married December 15, 1898 to James Monroe Hetherington — son of William George and Susan M. (Broughton) Hetherington. Elmo Barton, b January 4, 1886, d May 10, 1969 — she married first to William W. Crouch and had Cordelia Crouch who married John Ramsey Taylor; and married second to William G. Ruble of Lott, Texas, b June 25, 1885, d April 9, 1955 — and she and her second husband were buried in Lott’s Clover Hill Cemetery. Maude Barton—married Jack Malone. Mable Barton—married Robert Ireland Barton. Eugenia Barton–never married.
