We were newly marrieds and they had the two girls. They were wonderful to us. I recall he loved to fish, hated to wear socks and was crazy about Eulalah. She sewed beautifully, loved clothes and pretty shoes. The girls were preteens. Cornelia could play the piano by ear and Cynthia could talk your ears off. He worked for City of Marlin, she for Torbett Clinic as Medical Historian. His brother was J.E. "Peg" Powell, a Justice of Peace and quite a character on his own.
