SHOOK was born in TN around 1840 and moved to TX after the Civil War with his family. He and his children are shown on the 1880 census of Falls County, but no record was found on the 1900 census. The 1880 census showed Oliver S. SHOOK with children Mattie S.(24y/o), Addie(14 y/o), Tom H. (12 y/o), Nellie S.(10 y/o), Hugh C.(8 y/o), Jim A. (4 y/o) and Lillie(7 months).
