My grandfather, Joseph Hampton M. Hightower (married Mary Jane Ferguson) was born in 1874 in Falls County to Thomas Preston Hightower & Alabama Joyce Shelton Gray. Joyce was previously married to a Mr. Gray before marrying Thomas. Would really appreciate any information on her Shelton family or her Gray marriage. We do know that she & Mr. Gray had a son, Jack. Jack was married & had a daughter named Joycie. Alabama Joyce died about 1899 & is reported to be buried in Evant, Coryell County. This is all the information we have for her.
