This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Goelzer Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/0hB.2ACE/1523.2 Message Board Post: In subsequent research, I found something more about what you are asking. It confirms what I posted that Betty Hinton had stated, that he died in Scranton. http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/message/an/surnames.goelzer/1.2.3.4.10.11.15 You probably didn't find it in searching as they only used "Col. A. Golezer". Apparently, he died in 1889 in Scranton and was buried there as you can see on this post. http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=message&r=an&p=surnames.goelzer&m=1.2.3.4.10.11.14.36.1 I don't know if he had another son with the initials "A. B. Goelzer" but obviously, he had a son named "A. E. Goelzer" who was very likely also buried in Scranton where he resided with his family. I also found most of what I needed to know about his military service and the rest of his life from that same thread (though I can always use any more than you or anyone else has). I hope this helps.
