Eaves (1840-1904) who is buried in Criswell Cemetery, Falls County, Texas. Criswell Cemetery also is the burial place of Elizabeth (Green) Eaves (1833-1917), second wife of Andrew Jackson Eaves (ca 1816-1820-ca 1876). He was the son of Abel and Agnes (Flood) Eaves. Also buried in Criswell Cemetery are three of Elizabeth and Andrew Jackson's children. So, naturally, I think this mystery A. Eaves might have been a relation. I have even considered the possibility that this A. Eaves was Andrew Jackson Eaves and the birth date on the gravestone is incorrect. But Elizabeth appears to have been a widow when she was enumerated on both the 1880 and 1900 censuses. And tax records show that A.J. Eaves was assessed on a tract of land in 1876 and wife Elizabeth was assessed on that same tract of land in 1877, suggesting that he was no longer living. Does anyone have any clues about the mystery A. Eaves. Janey E. Joyce in San Antonio, Texas
