You are invited to the eighth annual reunion of the descendants of WILLIAM AND MARGARET MARY McDOWELL who settled Nolan Valley Honoring the memory of LaRece Lawrence Estes and Jim Cowan Come celebrate OLD FAMILY STORIES Saturday June 7, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Nolan Valley Baptist Church McDowell Cemetery and Nolan Valley Baptist Church are located on FM 93 5 ½ miles west/northwest of Belton, Texas. The meal will be local barbeque with your delicious side dishes you bring for everyone to enjoy. So bring a dish to share. Paper products and drinks will be provided. Last year’s story-telling session was such a success, why don’t we do it again? Let’s bring the past alive once more. Think of a good story from your past that you would like to share with our family. Instead of having the silent auction, please plan on making a donation to help defray reunion costs. Let’s continue this year with: *Recognition of relatives lost during the past year. Please be ready to share names of anyone you know about—perhaps you’d like to bring a photo. *Announcements of births, marriages. And as always, please bring any family information you’d like to share, including pictures, news items, family traditions, family histories, family trees, etc. We have a renewed effort to get our family history into a book, so bring photo copies and copies of pictures you can actually give us, not to be returned if possible, to be used in the book. And Jody will have a copy machine available this year at the reunion for your convenience. If you know of anyone interested in attending the reunion, please extend to them a hearty welcome.
