Her date of birth is listed as April 9, 1819, and her date of death as February 16, 1880. The tombstone is broken and worn (at the area of the middle initial, and last name), but bears inscriptions 'Mother', and 'We loved her'. I have contacted Adams Funeral home (their records only go back to, around, 1935), and City Hall (they say that, due to a fire at the courthouse, their records do not go back to the 1800s)... I am, also, trying to contact local families (going back several generations, in Marlin or Falls County) with names that may include BIB..., BIP..., or BIR..., but have had no success. If anyone reading this, may know of someone whom could possibly identify (or be a descendant of) this woman, would you, please, e-mail me. *** This unknown Mary is impr! operly documented, in cemetery records, as Mary Gray Carter. Mary Gray Carter died in Vermont (or, possibly, in New Hampshire), in (approximately) 1845. *** I sincerely hope that this unknown Mary will be able to be properly identified/documented.
