My great grandfather, Charlie Edward Nance, married Essie McIntyre. After her death in 1892 my grandfather Charlie Edward Nance II was raised by Oliver (possibly the Dugel you are talking about) and Willie McIntyre. My father, Charlie Edward Nance III was born in Marlin, Falls County, TX in 1927. I do not have much information on my fathers family. My father was an heir to the old Humble wells around Conroe. Information I had was that it was Jim Dugan McIntyre with a homestead of 660 ac. in Montgomery Co. between Conroe and Humble. I'm thinking that the name Jim Dugan McIntyre may be incorrect, maybe it was Dugel? I would be glad to share what little information I have with anyone.
