Peggy, I have no idea what I'm doing, but here goes! I am grandson to Luke P Russell and Allie Moore Russell, daughter of R T Moore. I'm trying to dig up some info on both of them, i.e. birth places, parents etc. LP died in 1934 and is buried in Cavalry Cem, RT is buried in Waite Cem. I came to Marlin and went to the court house, but didn't find much...due to my own ignorance. I'll be happy to come back if I could get a little guidance..Any help would be appreciated. Surely would like to hear from you or someone! John Russell Mayhew
I found an obit for Mrs. R. T. Moore who died Jan. 4, 1924. She was Emma W. Newberry. I found a bio on Emma's father, James F. Newberry. No obit for R. T. Moore. I will look further for the Russells. Send me your mailing address and I will send the obit and bio. Researching Williams family that moved into the Marlin area at the end of 1800's or early in 1900's. Namely... Isaac Williams and Louisa Frances Light Williams sons... Michael D. (member of Woodmen of the World) Thomas David Kurt (Kurtis) All buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin Thanks, Marc Parrish
Dear Peggy, Volunteer, When you are in Marlin at the court house will you see if there is a death certificate for my great grandfather, Joseph Henry Livingston. He died 3 March 1914. I wrote to Austin for it year ago and they did not have a record of it.
