Her first job was teaching school in Falls County, Texas for three years while working on her Bachelor Degree from Mary Hardin Baylor. She taught 1st and 2nd grade in a rural school that employeed four teachers. If anyone has any information about the schools of Falls County during the 1930's, I would be very interested in seeing it. I am beginning a teaching career this year and just found this information about my grandmother from a biography she wrote about her family in a book for Hockley County. Thank you! Donna

    3. Donna, I have the book about the schools of Marlin, TX from the 1840's to 1960. I have been unable to find a Jewel Patterson as a teacher. Do you know her married name? She would probably be listed by that name if she taught in Marlin.
