For those of you who are visiting the cemeteries and graves of your loved ones, your ancestors this weekend and have a few extra flowers, think of placing them on one of the lonely graves which are never visited. Or, if you are living in an area where you have no one, think of visiting a cemetery and placing flowers by one of these lonely graves. I live in Logan Utah and tomorrow I will be visiting several local cemeteries and will be placing flowers on graves. Over the past years I have adopted these graves, these people and I hope that someone out there is doing the same for my loved ones. This is the day to remember those who came before us, who forged the paths that we now walk. Kathleen Burnett List Mom
I am researching the Robert Moore and Caladonia Woods Moore family. One of their sons was Valandingham (sp?) or as he was called Val Moore. Val was married to a Roxie Azue Jordan Moore. One of their daughters was named Ruth Maurine Moore. She was my mother. Do you have anything on this family? I know Val Moore was either a superintendent of schools there in Lott, Texas or Principal at one of the schools. Thanks. ___________________ * * * * * * * * *___________________ * * * * * * * * ___________________ * * * * * * * * *___________________ ______________________________ ______________________________ ______________________________

Dear List Members, It is that time of year when some of you will be leaving on Vacations. You might want to consider unsubscribing from the list while you are gone and then resubscribing when you return. The easiest way to do this is by using Password Central. http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ Follow the instructions and you will receive a e-mail list of all Rootsweb Mailing Lists you belong to. You can unsubscribe using this e-mail. Save it and you then have a list of mailing lists you want to re-subscribe to. When you return, you can check the Archives for this list at http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ Just type in the name of the list and you can check the messages for the dates you were gone. The following was shared with me and I think it is one of the best Maps I have seen showing the growth and history of the United States. http://www.animatedatlas.com/movie.html I appreciate each of you and know that it is because of you our list is the success it is. Hi, I'm searching for information on Nancy L Johnson married to Richard William Eslick in Marlin, Falls Co., TX in 1887. She was previously married to Oliver Johnson and her maiden name may have been Barton. On the 1900 census she states she had 2 children living. Richard W Eslick died in Thornton, Limestone Co., in 1904 and Nancy L Eslick died in 1925 or 1929 in Falls Co., TX, it is believed they lived in Otto also. Any information on her or her possible children would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you, Rayna Moore

I am searching for info on my gg-grandfather John M Grammar/er (unsure of spelling at this point). He has been a family mystery for some time as his wife would never speak of him other than to say that he was a good man. Below is what little information I know... John M Grammar born about 1856 in Mississippi (?), parents unknown but born in Alabama or Georgia. JM married Susan P Champion in Limestone Co. TX in 1875. In 1880 Census they are found in Hunt Co with two daughters, Lillia 3yrs & Ella 1 yr. Susan was pregnant with my grandfather at the time of the Census (he was born in Dec 1880). In 1882 Susan remarried CC Jones in Limestone Co. They went on to have 8 more children. It is speculated that JM died and is buried in either, Limestone Co., Hunt Co. or Falls Co. but it is not known when or how he died. JM's son, William Henry Grammer, married Laura B Hindman....I have some other info on them - Chillicothe/Vernon, TX. If any of this makes a connection, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated. Sincerely, Kendra Burleson, TX
