Since she died in 1898 and my Ida died in the 1930s. I will have to go through a bunch of papers before I can scan the receipts. They are in my father's papers and he passed away in 1998, so all that has been put away for awhile. If you know anything at all about H. E. I would be very interested in knowing.

My aunt's name is Lutisha Isabella, and I have been puzzling for a while how you could get a nickname of Ida out of that. (His tombstone says: Husband of Ida). Now it makes sense. Could I get scans of those documents you have. I was just up there a couple of months ago. I have posted pictures at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tx/cemph/fallsph.html

Linda, According to the book I have called"Rogers, Skelton and Allied Families" by Helen Rogers Skelton the parents of Larkin and Joseph Byrd had not been identified in 1983. Many court house records were lost or burned. I am a gggranddaughter of Robert Elonzo Rogers, one of Joseph and Tabitha's sons. Mary Hendricks

I am trying to determine if the Larkin Rogers who lived in Falls Co., TX and who was a brother to Joseph Byrd Rogers was either the same Larkin Rogers or related to the Larkin Rogers who was enumerated in the 1809 Madison Co., Mississippi Territory (AL) census. I am also trying to determine if anyone has figured out who the parents of Larkin Rogers and Joseph Byrd Rogers were. I cannot check my postings very often as I don't often have the opportunity to surf the net so if anyone responding would e-mail me at fultimers@yahoo.com, I would sincerely appreciate it. I have collected some info on Madison County Rogers if anyone wants it. Linda
Greetings from Oregon! I am a new subscriber to this list, and have read the archived messages that pertain to the ROGERS family of Falls County. I know there are several ROGERS family researchers on this list and am hoping that you can help me. I just learned that my husband's g-g-grandfather William Spencer ROGERS lived in Falls County in the 1870s, and was thrilled to learn much about his family from information on this list and that posted on the Falls Co. GenWeb page. Now, of course, I want more! Here's what I know: Caleb Witt ROGERS b. July 13, 1802 in TN, d. Oct 26, 1875 + Paulina BARNARD or BERNARD b. Aug 15, 1815 in TN, d. July 3, 1877, m. Feb 14, 1833 in Blount Co., AL . Elijah b. abt 1836 in AL + Susan b. 1853, d. 1881 . . Mary b. abt 1873 . . E.H. b. abt 1875 . . A.L. b. abt 1878 . . W.W. b. abt 1880 . Minerva b. abt 1839 in AL . William S. b. September 07, 1840 in AL + Sarah M. Worley b. 1835, d. 1877 . Matilda b. 1844 in AL . John b. abt 1846 in AL . Henry C. b. abt 1848 in AL . Mary b. abt 1850 in AL William Spencer ROGERS b. 1840 in AL married Sarah M. WORLEY b. 1851 in AL probably about 1866 or so. Their children were Mary Alice b. abt 1867, Paulina b. abt 1869, Emily J. b. 1871, Cynthia b. 1872 and Minnie b. 1876. I found William and Sarah in the 1870 census of Cooke Co., TX living in Gainesville. Sarah and the three oldest girls - Mary Alice, Paulina and Emily J. - all died in 1877 within a short time of each other and are buried in the Stranger cemetery. William's mother Paulina Rogers died that year also, again within a short time of the others. Does anyone know of an epidemic or contagious disease that could have swept through this family, and perhaps the community, in 1877? Anyone with info on any of the above named?

We just had a welcome addition to our family and it has been a bit hectic. As for the information you requested... I have all of that information somewhere but if I cannont locate it I will ask my Aunt Elaine. You have all of the names correct but the dates I'm not sure about. To the best of my knowledge Betty Mullins Falconer is still living. As for my grandparents, Mary Evelyn and JW, they married on April 27, 1950 in Whiteright, Texas. I promised you a copy of the family tree but have been unsuccessful in scanning it properly. The copy I have is approx 11X14 and I am having to scan it in sections which makes it difficult to read in a logical manner. I would be more than happy to xerox it for you.
