Surnames: Schilling Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0hB.2ACE/1472 Message Board Post: I am looking for any information regarding the Schilling family residing past and present in Falls County. My grandparents have passed away and my father and aunts and uncles remember little about their family history except a few stories one of which involving a car-train accident(unknown name), others mostly involving boyhood antics regarding farm life, cotton and living in very small quarters with 8 brothers and sisters. Father's name-Willie Ray Schilling, Uncles-John, Curtis, and Aunts-Mary, Helen, Rita, Katherine, Pam, and Thelma. Also some distant cousins of surname Sehon vaguely mentioned-Richard and Leonard only Sehons known. Thank you for your assistance

The Marriage I was looking for would have been 1874 -1875 which would fall under the ones missing. Hope this helps? Phyllis

    3. Court house has marriage records. They have been microfilmed. The old ones were in a file and you could take them if they were for your family. This was probably about 4 years ago. 3. Falls County is a wonderful site and mail list and: For your information: Judy Michaels has been transcribing the Comanche Chief newspaper to the Comanche mail list, and may also be on the Comanche County rootsweb page. I have seen many of these surnames posted on other surrounding county mail lists as well as the Texas L roots- list. Brown County has family surname pages with some photo's and books of the times and areas of interest. Plus there is the 1880 Census on-line at the LDS family search site. Mills county is also a fantastic and helpful site and has great cemetery information on-line as well as other information. San Saba is a great site too and many helpful people. Hamilton County has many resources. There is an URL for message boards and World trees and mail lists at: http://www.rootsweb.com/ and an interesting letter to subscribe to that offers helpful ideas and new web pages including new family surname pages. Hope this helps you find your illusive ancestors. > ==== TXFALLS Mailing List ==== > If you wish to unsubscribe from the Falls Co., TX list, send only the word > UNSUBSCRIBE to TXFALLS-l-request@rootsweb.com or if you are on the Digest List > to TXFALLS-d-request@rootsweb.com > The Falls Co., TX Webpage is located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~txfalls/ > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237

I can type the whole thing here from the blue Wright book: BENJAMIN WRIGHT : (BEDE) BORN: C/A-1860/MARRIED: M BLOCKER : PARENTS OF: TWO (2) CHILDREN: DIED: IN/ 1893/WITH TYPHOID FEVER/ALSO HIS SISTER :ANN CORA; DIED AGE(25) WHO CAME TO HELP NURSE HIM; ANN CORA & BEDE, ARE BOTH BURIED IN: PEACH TREE CEMETERY Ann (or Anna) Cora was born in c.1868 - I don't have a good date on her either. She finished Sam Houston College and was a school teacher in Marlin, TX before going to the aid of her brother. If you have more about this family I'd love to learn about them. Benjamin#5 and Ann Cora#8 would be my mom's uncle and aunt. James Asa is #9. As I see it, we are 2nd cousins once removed - my children are your 3rd cousins. Do you see more than 9 siblings in this family anyplace? The book was done at a place like Kinko's so it would be hard to find one in a store. It has a picture of Ann Cora. The 2nd edition has a different color cover. Paulette
