Three siblings from each family married a sibling of the other family. They were Ruth Mae Brandon married Jesse Nelms Smith, William K. Brandon married Mary Susana Smith, and Dudley Jolley Brandon married Nancy Christine Smith. It was said that during the war, Alex and his son, William K. joined and fought together for the Confederacy. I have William K. Brandon's papers, but none for Alex. I did see an index for Indigent Confederate Soldiers for Falls County and there was an A.E. Brandon. Does anyone have information on these two families? Thanks, Darla

    1. [TXFALLS] List of Marriages from 1920's-30's
    2. Billie J. Gage
    3. I am posting this listing hoping it will be of help to somebody out there. These names and dates were taken from an old memory book of my Mother's, Margaret Irue Woodard "Perue." 1. [TXFALLS] Reagan, Falls Co.
    2. Can anyone tell me the names of the Cemeteries around Reagan. Also the names of Funeral Homes/Morturies around Reagan between 1910 and 1920. I am still searching for the death or burial of Martha "Mattie" A. BLEVINS/BLEVENS. Age 32 in 1910, born Fulton Co. Arkansas. All I know is she was raped, murdered and thrown into a creek in the Reagan area. The time frame is very hard to search as this happened between Dec. 14, 1910 and 1920. A large 10 year time frame. Martha "Mattie" A. BLEVINS/BLEVENS, her 4 young children are living with her parents, Cornelous Godfrey & Malinda Jane (MANES) DACUS in this area on the 1910 Federal Census. The 1920 Federal Census has the 4 children (grandchildren) living with them. A 96 year old BLEVINS/BLEVENS kin tells this story, but cannot remember the year. I have traveled to Marlin Court House many times, but cannot find any information on this, as the criminal index only list the name of the person who has murdered or killed someone and not the victim's name, and it is a very long list for 10 years. Jay yaerohs@aol.com I am a genealogy nut, but I am not cracked.

    1. [TXFALLS] A. Eaves (1840-1904) c
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0hB.2ACE/1482 Message Board Post: Does anyone have any information about the A. Eaves (1840-1904) who is buried in Criswell Cemetery, Falls County, Texas. Criswell Cemetery also is the burial place of Elizabeth (Green) Eaves (1833-1917), second wife of Andrew Jackson Eaves (ca 1816-1820-ca 1876). He was the son of Abel and Agnes (Flood) Eaves. Also buried in Criswell Cemetery are three of Elizabeth and Andrew Jackson's children. So, naturally, I think this mystery A. Eaves might have been a relation. I have even considered the possibility that this A. Eaves was Andrew Jackson Eaves and the birth date on the gravestone is incorrect. But Elizabeth appears to have been a widow when she was enumerated on both the 1880 and 1900 censuses. And tax records show that A.J. Eaves was assessed on a tract of land in 1876 and wife Elizabeth was assessed on that same tract of land in 1877, suggesting that he was no longer living. Does anyone have any clues about the mystery A. Eaves. Janey E. Joyce in San Antonio, Texas
