    1. [TXFALLS] Rev. LH Mathison in the 1930 census
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Mathison Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0hB.2ACE/1499 Message Board Post: I am desperately searching for information about a Rev. LH Mathison who shows up in the 1930 census living in Marlin, Texas. He is listed as a 55 year old Methodist minister. I am convinced that this is the same LH Mathison getting married in Henry County Alabama in 1894. That marriage was performed by my gg granduncle, Rev. George Mathison, and I am convinced that LH and his descendants are relatives of mine. I would love to hear from anyone who might be able to help me find out more information about this enigmatic Mathison. Also, I have researched the Alabama Mathisons extensively and would love to share that information with anyone interested. Thanks for taking the time to read this! - Steve

    1. [TXFALLS] Death records help needed.
    2. Shirley
    3. Does anyone know if the death records for 1870-1880 are kept at the courthouse in Marlin? Does anyone know if they will actually search a 10 yr span to find the requested record or will they just keep your money and tell you it wasn't found? Does anyone have a subscription to Ancestry, or a CD...book...whatever that you would be willing to search for the death record I'm after. Would feel much more confident requesting a death record if I had the date. Looking for Rhoda Catherine Jones between 1870-1880. Her name was listed on censuses as Rhode - Rhody or R.C. She was born about 1826 in GA. Would so much appreciate any help you can give. Thanks, Shirley

    1. [TXFALLS] Amelia "Milcie" Fleming
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Fleming, Tyson, Parker, Capers, Berg, Blair, Bland, Glaesman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0hB.2ACE/1487 Message Board Post: I'm trying to find the married name of my great-Aunt Amelia "Milcie" Fleming. After Amelia (Milcie) Fleming got married she moved from the Fleming Family homestead at Pleasant Grove, near Rosebud, to Ft Bend County in the Richmond-Rosenburg area. I do not have any idea what her husband's name might have been or what year they got married. I'm guessing that the wedding was between 1899 and 1905. I am trying to find out her married name and in what cemetery she is buried. Milcie's parents were Andrew and Amelia Fleming who were born in Scotland. Milcie may have been born in Texas but her older siblings, Andrew, Jr. "Buddy" and Mary, were born in New Jersey. It is my understanding that Milcie's mother died giving birth to her. She and her sibs may have been raised with their father by his mother-in-law Mary Dugan/Duncan(?) who was also from Scotland and was 65 at 1880 Census. My grandmother was a half-sister to Milcie. At age 16 my grandmother took the railroad train from Falls county, maybe from Rosebud, to Richmond to visit Milcie and her husband. That was most likely around 1905. If Milcie is one of your ancestors I'd love to hear from you. If anyone knows how I might find Milcie's married name I'd appreciate hearing from you, too.
