A. Eaves is a mystery.. It is not A.J Eaves.. I believe he is buried in Robertson Co. I think it is someone's infant that died and it is not recorded who it is and who it belongs to. I wondered about that too. I also wonder about this other tombstone Elifair Shipp. He/She is buried with my family. Is it a Eaves or what?? Is Shipp a middle name?? I will contact my oldest Great Aunt and see if she knows of something. Maybe she can solve this mystery. Will get back to you on this. I believe this date is also incorrect. We could be wrong. . Andrew Jackson Sr was born in 1819 and died in 1876. The date would be off for this tombstone. I had thought about... it could be his first offspring from his 1st wife Adelia in 1840's but.. they were residing in Sabine Parish, La at the time. All their kids were born there as well. He did not moved to Trinity Co until 1860 when he married Elizabeth and had the other children! there. I don't know really. I will research along with you.. Thanks, Tonja

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/0hB.2ACE/1463.1.1 Message Board Post: Thank you for replying to my post on John and Mamie McKim. I would be very happy to have any information you might be willing to share on the McKim line. As for the daughter Pearl, she was the daughter of Mamie's half-brother, Mose Goodman and his wife Manerva Cole. A year or so after Manerva's death (when Pearl was about 2 years old), John and Mamie adopted Pearl, and the child went by the name of McKim until her marriage to Robert Poteet--the only child I have record of for Pearl and Robert is Michael Eugene Poteet; there may well have been others I've just not yet learned about. Pearl later married Lee Walters. I appreciate the information you have passed along about localities--every little bit helps. I would be happy to hear more.

I do not know when they married, but on the 1910 census they were in Nueces Co. and in 1920 back in Falls Co. with a daughter Pearl age 9. In 1930 they were in Kleberg Co. TX with daughter and John's father, William. I have that Pearl married a Poteet and has several children. That is really all I have about Mamie. I have some on the McKim's.

I have located his unmarked grave at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange county and cemetery records indicate his name was FENNELL and he was born on 29 Jan 1853. Sammy Tise's book Texas County Sheriff reports his name as FENNEL. I cannot locate a census on him in Texas for 1870 (age 17) or 1880 (age 27) and have no family information. The 1870 census for Falls County did have a Absalom FENNEL with an 18-yoa son named Jasper that could be him. If anyone knows if Jasper FENNEL could be J C FENNEL who died in Orange County I would appreciate the assistance.

My great grandfather, Charlie Edward Nance, married Essie McIntyre. After her death in 1892 my grandfather Charlie Edward Nance II was raised by Oliver (possibly the Dugel you are talking about) and Willie McIntyre. My father, Charlie Edward Nance III was born in Marlin, Falls County, TX in 1927. I do not have much information on my fathers family. My father was an heir to the old Humble wells around Conroe. Information I had was that it was Jim Dugan McIntyre with a homestead of 660 ac. in Montgomery Co. between Conroe and Humble. I'm thinking that the name Jim Dugan McIntyre may be incorrect, maybe it was Dugel? I would be glad to share what little information I have with anyone. 3. Do you have the microfilm and roll # and page # that shows the Rook family on the 1930 census. I look at a lot of census records during my genealogy research and would like to see the entries. I have access to the 1930 census but it doesn't have an index. If you have the page #s, etc., I can view it that way. Did you find the Rooks on the 1920? I'm not saying I know anything about who you're looking for but seeing the census might give me some clues. I grew up in that county. Did you post this to the McLennan County list also?
