This is a GREAT letter!! But I would like to add one thing to it also. It is not only local genealogical organizations that do all the researching of these records. Many, many people have taken the time on their own to do such research. Yes, I am the CC for Falls County but if it were not for the wonderful people like yourself, who take the time to submit their info to the Falls site, we would not have near the info that we do. Some submit what records they have, whether it be just one obit or one picuture, others are scanning and submitting whole census records, whole school yearbooks, whole newspapers ..... all of this adds up to a great site. So NOTHING is too small to add. If we all work together and pitch in what we have, no telling what all we would have. I want to thank everyone that has helped me in doing this. I have always sa id, the Falls site is NOT 'my site', it belongs to all of us that have or had family in Falls County. I am only the ones that adds all the great info that others send in to me. I want to say a huge Thank you to each and everyone of you and please keep sending it in!! Kay Cunningham CC Falls County

    1. THANK YOU!!!!!
    2. Leola Russell
    3. Reading one of the email messages I received this morning reminded me how much time and effort others have put into making it possible for me to access so much information so economically. We are the benefactor of the work done by members of local genealogical organizations who have walked cemeteries, searched records, collected obituaries, and a wealth of other information from their community and published it making it available to those of us who live great distances from their community. It is certainly more economical for me to buy a book than spend the time and money to travel to the area to do the research myself. The internet has made so much more information available to us in our homes. It is a wonderful resource, but it is not FREE. People spend time collecting all that information. Computers and internet access or not free, and someone must post the information, and hopefully someone has checked the accuracy before it is circulated around the world. Few of us take time to consider the cost of maintaining any organization. Printing and postage to provide newsletters and other publications to those of us who live far away is an ever increasing expense. Maintaining a research facility is very costly. Each of us should consider the work, effort, and cost of publishing information, and remember to give recognition to those who did the work and paid the cost. Our purchases and contribution enables the group to maintain and enhance their collections. I cannot say enough to thank the genealogy "angels" who do all the hard work and contribute so much of time and money to preserve the genealogical and historical material in their community and make it available to the present and future generations. C. Phegley who had earned her B.S. at the West Texas State College. Looking at her photo in the year book, I would estimate her age at the time as late 50's. Her given name isn't listed. Hadn't thought of her, or that name in years. Thanks for the memory.

The one my family is buried at is Powers Chapel Cemetery. It is close to the Wilderville, sign, down rd, I believe 2027. My parents were there just last month to put fresh flowers on my grandparents grave. And I have an Easel put on their grave evry yr. They have said nothing about the Cemetery, being in disarray or anything. My mother took a picture of my grandparents gravesite. you can see their grave from the road. For it has Ashcraft written on back of the headstone, as well as their names on the front. And her family the Hydes from Rosebud practically whole family is buried there. But I personally havent been there since the day we buried her. Which was Dec.22, 1999. But I do plan on checking into this matter, for i have several relatives that still live in the Rosebud/Lott, and Marlin Tx. area. And I know they visit the cemetery quite regularly. ! Thnks for the info. I appreciate it.
