Powers Chapel is between Cedar Springs and Wilderville. It is a state Historical Site. I believe that John Pierson's records are at the Dee Roll Brown Library in Rosebud. My name is Marcos Schroeder, 36 years old, born Rio do Sul, married with Silvana Scheidemantel and living now in Blumenau, South of Brazil. With 15 years I began to research about my family, their origin in Germany and history since they have been in Brazil. The South of Brazil was colonized by portuguese, and the interior was settled by German, Italian, Swiss, Polish immigrants from 1829. Blumenau was founded by Dr of Philosophy, Hermann Blumenau in 1850. I studied in German for a year in 1987 and discovered that I have distant relations still living in Kürten and also that 3 brothers, nephews of our antecessor, emigrated at the end of the last century to Texas. Peter ( born in 1857), Heinrich born in 1861 and Christian born also in 1861 emigrated (perhaps in 1890) to Texas. Gertrude Bielenberger, born in 24.02.1855 in Oedendorf/ Köln and died in 24.10.1914 in Lott was married with once of them. I found at Internet a important information in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Gertrude is there! I would like to know where the descendents are living today and hope maintain kontakt with them. I was two weeks ago in Germany and visited our relatives, they tell me that the son of Gertrude and ? was in Germany at the 1 world war . Can someone help me to find them? Thanks, Marcos
