Gray of Milam County, Texas; David H., Gray, Daniel W. Gray, and Burton T. Gray, immigrated to The Republic of Texas by 1840, via Illinois, where the Seeleys only son was born. Their two daughters were born at Alto Springs, Texas. Dr. Seeley purchased nearly one-half league of land in present-day Falls County, where the couple lived until their deaths. Their three children were Darwin Gray Seeley, b 1838 in Illinois, d 1863 in Arkansas while serving in the Confederate States Army. His family were not notified of his death, as estates, it was mentioned that he was presumed both parents were deceased. In the settlement of their dead. Henrietta A. Posted on: Falls County Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Falls?read=457 Surname: BUSBY, TUCKER, GRAVES, SWEENEY, BANKS, HARDWICK, JUDD ------------------------- Seeking information about Sarah L. Gray Seeley(widow of Dr. David Seeley)Busby, the 2nd wife of David T. Busby. David and Sarah married about 1851 either in Limestone County or Falls Co, TX. Sarah was shown on the 1850 Limestone County Census; no husband listed. David T. Busby purchased 1107 acres of land in the Sarah Pillow Survey in 1853 and his ancestors still live on this land today. David was origaially from Adair Co, KY, migrated to TX sometime after 1850. His deceased father, Matthew Busby, named his children and their spouses in a deed dated in Sept 1850. Apparently his heirs sold Matthew Busby's land in 1850 and most of them moved to TX. It appears that Tilford Busby and William D. Busby did not come to Texas but moved to Carroll County, Mo instead. David T. Busby and Sarah Gray Seeley Busby's death date and burial location is unknown. If anyone knows when they died and where they are buried, please contact me.

I found the Williams family in previous post in the 1880 Lee County Census. If there was an 1890 Falls County Census I need a lookup if there is a census. Thanks for anyone's help. Roger M. Pace [email protected]
If anyone has the 1880 Falls County Census, I really need a lookup. Looking for the family of James J. Williams with wife of Mary and children of John, Frank, Mary, Hettie, James, Ben, Alice, Elvin, and Irven. Have record of them moving to Falls County in 1880, so possibly won't be in the Census, but need to know so that I can trace backwards elsewhere. Anyone's help would be most appreciated if this family can be found. Thanks in advance, Roger M. Pace [email protected]

Looking for any strings at all about Benjamin Kemp who was married to Hettie Williams, possibly went by Rhoda. Have them listed as living in Falls-Milam in a story in written in 1893 as being married.Hettie was born abt. 1865, so they were probably married around 1892-93. Have been unable to find them in any index at all. Hettie's (Rhoda) parents and siblings all moved to Greer County, Okla early 1899. Benjamin & Hettie didn't follow, so I think there is a chance Hettie died or divorced between 1893 and 1899. Any leads at all would be greatly appreciated. This family has been a big mystery. Surely in coming across the south, some members of the family could have been in Louisiana, but I don't have that information. I have been given the names of others who are members of the Talley family who are doing research. I have not spoken with these ladies; I believe they are members of the Austin Genealogical Society.
