    3. Kim, If you will go to the site I have below, you can read the story that includes this line: "J. D. Bishop laid out a townsite on the (railroad) line four miles south of Mount Airy, which drew residents from old to new Dublin." Could it be that "New Dublin" started out as "Bishop", as there was already a town named "Dublin"? Just a wild guess. It is undoubtedly my favorite site.
