    3. There never was a Stephensville- sometime during the organization it was printed that way in a local newspaper or official letter. It was not named for a Stephens Family, but a Stephen Family. Three of the Stephen brothers moved north,one to Stephenville, one to Panther Cave at Chalk Mountain overlooking Somerville County, and I think the third one lived in Meridian at one time. If you look up anything in the Geneaology libraries. most info refers to Stephenville. No reflection meant, I thought I made a mistake one time, but I was wrong, Ha!
