Hi, Fred , and welcome. You and I have overlapping memories, but yours are brobably more detailed east of Lone Mountain than mine- mine links back to Indian Creek and Hico as well as Glen Rose and Huckaby. By the way, I have photos of the mountains with almost no cedars and climbers in wool suits and Tarleton uniforms climbing Lone Mountain and did have one of the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Surveu tower used in WW2 for aircraft spotters. The next tower west was near Alfred Scrimsher's syrup mill, south of Tom Arendell log cabin. It was standing 1942-44 when I attended Selden school after Johnsville. Concerning WYCHE- Dr. Allen G. Wyche was a Chiropractor. Not sure about a Stephenville office, but I think he was the one in Dublin my parents attended before they quit driving. Didn't know the rest of his family. Bill Bradley was a Superintendent of Schools. Seems it was Iredell The name sounds familiar inconnection with Oglesby and Gatesville schools. So, There should be Bradley records in Meridian and Gatesville. Concerning Alexander, I attended high school with several Alexanders- guess you did too. One was "Col. Bob" , Stephenville football player. In case you missed Grady Wyly at Stephenville Country Opry recently, He left the dairy and was hauling Frito scrap from Dallas to McAllen for a Mexican feed lot and had a triple bypass surgery in McAllen a week or so ago and has now returned to his home by his son's dairy at the entrance to the Selden (Hatchett) cemetery. Moral? Don't eat Frito scrap? Take care Charles Wyly On Mon, 5 Jul 1999 17:49:32 -0600 "FRED E EWERS III" <fredorkim@email.msn.com> writes: >Hi--I'm new to this mailing list, so wanted to list the surnames I am >researching: ALEXANDER,BRADLEY,RANEY,TRAINER,WYCHE. >I am most interested in finding info on SERENA REBECCA TRAINER b.Dec >24, >1878 d. 1926 and buried in Hickey Cemetary in Erath Co.
