I forgot one military base about 65 miles from Stephenville, Texas up 377- at Fort Worth (White Settlement) was Carswell Air Base on Lake Worth. It was a Strategic Air Command Base and is now a joint Naval Air Station and reserve training center. Convair (then General Dynamics, now McDonnel- Duglass) Bomber plant was next door. I shared rides with other workers from Stephenville daily. Some came from Dublin & De Leon. It was a 60-80 minute drive. I tried living in Forth Worth, but it took 30 minutes to an hour longer to get to the Boarding houses than to get home. Take care Charles A.
