There is a Hancock Cem. in Purves, Erath Co. Elizabeth Ruyle/Hancock is said to be buried next to husband Benjamin Timothy Hancock, I need a date of death for her. (born 1818) Their daughter Matilda C. Hancock (1844-1892) is said to be buried in Stevenville, Erath Co. she died 25 Sept 1892. Where buried? Matilda Hancock married Henry Welch and had daughter Melvina Vashi Welch (1869-1928) who married in Erath Co. 5 July 1885 James Samuel Bowen. She is buried in Brownwood Co. he in Tulare, CA. I am trying to understand why James S. Bowen was in Erath Co. perhaps working on the railroad? In 1880 he & parents Thomas C. & Lovann Desmond/Bowen were in Bosque Co. and 1900 in Montaque Co.
