Hi, Chigger Hill was the locally used name for Pleasant Hill Merthodist Church up the hill from The Erath County Indian \Creek Cemetery. There was a problem with deer ticks and possible Lymes Disease in the Indian Creek cemeteryThis is at the Selden turnoff of Hico- Stephenville Highway. The Indian Creek cemetery was better last time we were there checking graves of Wyly, Hatchett, Fleming, Wyly and other kin. There used to be a stone there with a skull and crossbones in an inverted triangleand KCS in each corner- this was a symbol tracing back to the Crusades for the Knights of Christian Service, or Knights of Pythias. It was gone last time I hunted it. To help control the chiggers and ticks put dog collars on your ankles or Downey Static free pads in your boots, socks, or belt loops. Even flies and mosquitoes don't like them. Also, a year or so ago we saw something in one of those open top French style rock fence graves that looked suspiciously like Marijuana.
