Feb 23, 1862, had an older sister named Dovie Ellen Long, (b. ca. 1857) who married Hiram Stone in Erath County (don't know the date) I know of two children of this marriage, Will and Elizabeth, although there could have been more. The middle name of James Hiram Stone suggests that he was of the same family of Hiram Stone -- son??, nephew?? Or, was it the same guy? He wouldn't have been widowed, as Aunt Dovie definitely lived well into this century, at least until the 1920's... If it turns out that they are the same family, I have information on the Longs going way back, from North Carolina to South Carolina, to Georgia to Alabama to Texas. --Kathryn Coombs
