    3. Charles and All, Any connections or cousins? While living on a farm near Dublin, TX Hezekiah SMALLWOOD plied his trade of master carpenter. He and his son Robert Lee SMALLWOOD built many of the fine mansions in Dublin. Joe Higginbotham, Rufus Higginbotham and John G. Harris homes were built in 1889. Robert Lee SMALLWOOD came to Texas with is father when he was a young man of twenty (1884). He went back north and stayed a year or two, only to return to Texas to spend the remainder of his life. After marriage to Julia DANSBY, they went to Dublin, where he worked as a carpenter, returning later to Hickey Community where they made their home except for one year when they were located at Hasse. In 1893 he became a member of the Baptist Church and soon afterwards starting preaching for the Oak Grove Baptist Church on Alarm Creek. He was a minister there for many years and was serving as minister of Washington Street Baptist Church in Stephenville, TX at the time of his death. Bolton is my ex-husband's family, married 1962-1972, and I haven't done much on that family, leaving that for my two daughters to do when they retire. There is some family history on the Boltons from England to the Oklahoma branches that I know about. None in Texas that I have heard about. Regards, Mary Ann (Smallwood) Bolton Mililani, HI > Hi, I have heard the Smallwood name but can't remember the name. Seems > > they were towards Dublin or Huckaby. > > The Boltons have me curious-
