Hi all, I just joined this discussion and want to put my ERATH Co. ties out to you. My gg-grandparents moved to Alexander in about 1872 from Weakly Co. Tn. They were Benjamin Wesley HEAD and Sarah (McWhorter) HEAD. The kids were: Collie Ann (Cora) HEAD born 1864 in Tn. m. L. VICTORY Jim HEAD b. 1866 Tn Edd HEAD b. 1868 Tn m.Mary TURNBOW, son Vernon HEAD; d. 1953 Stephenville George Wesley HEAD b. 1870 Tn; d.1954 Waco Mary Etta (Doll) HEAD b. 1872 Tx m. Bud YARBER Jennie Bell HEAD b. Tx 1874 (My g-grandmother) m. John CARGILL twins b. 1878 Nora HEAD m. Oscar Pettiet Dora HEAD m. Jack BARROW My g-grandmother, Jenny Bell, married John Newton CARGILL (from Calvert, Tx) in 1894 in Alexander. Sarah and B. W. lived on a farm S. of Alexander. Sarah died in 1884 and is buried in the Clairette Cemtery in Clairette Tx. Benjamin Wesley remarried Willie Rachel Price Johnston in Alexander. Their kids were all born in Alexander: Fannie HEAD b. 1885 m CHRISTOPHER Lee HEAD b. 1888 m. Audry ? Ida HEAD b. 1890 m. GRISTY Robert HEAD b. 1892 m. Lydia ? Walter HEAD b. 1894 Ethel HEAD b. 1896 Charlie HEAD b. 1901 Benjamin was buried with his first Sarah wife in 1909. Many HEADs are buried in the Clairette Cemetery. Does anyone know of this family?
