Their surname is TACKETT, also my ONEY line lived for a time in the Stephenville area (though I am unsure the exact area he was living before his marriage). The family I am researching and looking for connection on is: William M. TACKETT, b. Jan. 10, 1823 in Floyd Co., KY. Married Mary Ann PATRICK, b. Jan. 6, 1829 in Floyd Co., KY. They were married before 1845 in Madison Co., Ark. and their 10 children were born in Madison Co. Ark. - 1. George W. TACKETT, b. Dec. 29, 1845 m. Mary Ellen WILLIAMS 2. James TACKETT, b. Richard P. "Dick" ONEY Just after the birth of Eliza Jane the family left Madison Co., Ark and was in Williamson Co., Texas for the 1870 census & also for the 1880 census. From the family history of George W. Tackett in the "Williamson County, Texas Its History and Its People" book states that the family left Williamson Co., for Erath County in the early 1880's. I am looking for any connections on this family. I'd love to exchange information. I am especially looking for the marriage location of Eliza Jane Tackett & Richard P. Oney. I have checked with the Erath Co. Courthouse and they don't have the marriage recorded there. Is there anyone out there that may have the answer to this one of my searches?
