I am new to genealogy and I've been on this list for about a month. I thought I would put up some family history to see if my family tree ties in with anyone else on this list. My grandmother Vada COOK was born in Dublin, Erath in 1915. She had a brother Herschel COOK and sister Lera May COOK. My great grandparents were Rhonel Earl COOK and Myrtle SCHOOLER, they were married in 1913 in Erath. Rhonel (Ronald) was shot in a watermelon patch at a young age in 1917. After his death, Myrtle married Robert RODGERS in 1920 in Erath. Myrtle died young about 1925. The untimely death of my great grandparents led to my grandmother and her siblings being reared apart. Over the years my granmother has lost any contact with relatives in the area. Through the limited research I have done I have connections to the following surnames in Erath county: CABE, COOK, DAFFIN (DAUPHIN), RODGERS, SCHOOLER.
