Dublin is indeed still an active city. I was there last week to find my great-great- grandparents gravesite. They lived there from about the 1870's. They may have known your relatives. William died in 1888 and Alice died in 1924. Dublin is a city of about 3,500 people about 80 miles southwest of Ft. Worth, Texas. From all I can find, Dublin was a thriving area at the turn of the century. I do not have much in the way of details of life there in the 1890's though. My great grandparents in Dublin were William F. Hannon who married Alice Karnes. They are buried in the Old Dublin Memorial Park. They had a daughter Leila Hannon who married William Alexander Flippo.
