In the book "Confederate Indigent Families Lists of Texas 1863-1865, by Linda Mearse, the index lists a Wm. ORM of Erath County. Would anyone have knowledge of this William ORM(E)? Myself and some cousins have been searching for a lost William James ORME for some time. It is believed that after the Civil War, William's brother, Thomas, notified Elizabeth ORME that her husband had been killed in Texas.
