Kathy, I just rememberred- the State School for the Blind and the one for the deaf in Austin were once called Asylums , if I am not mistaken. Marvin Shannon of Fort Worth married the niece of Susie Moxley- my great aunt. Marvin was legally blind and attended the school in Austin and became an attorney and blind golfer. He and his brother owned the Shannon Ambulances and funeral homes and cemeteries in Fort Worth. Seems there is a lot of money in these related businesses. Take care, Charles Wyly
