    3. The nearest I know to Defore was a Mister Devore who ran the Itasca grain elevator and Itasca Tractor supply. One of John Sevier's sons or grandsons told his family to meet him at Milford, Texas . he rode ahead and checked it to California and came back and said The Milford- Itasca area in Hill County was as good as any he had seen. I attended high school with Preston Hook. He married Wanda Pendleton from Selden. he runs a Stephenville tire store just north of the RR on Huckaby Hwy (Graham Street.) Boone Brown was a Stephenville business man in the 1940's. I think Marclene that I attended school with was his daughter. Another Erath County Brown was the mother in law of Elmer Johnson's wife and attended Selden and Pony Creek Churches. I taught a Brown boy in West High School. - McLennan County. Sorry I can't be more specific, but maybe these might be hints to check out.
