Can't help with Erath County Taylors, but the retired Principal at Midway High School , Hewitt, Texas is Don Taylor. His dad was a minister in the Amarillo area. Other Taylors in Hewitt and Moody are part of the Vandiver and Guest families of Moody, Hewitt, and Waco. Coleman Taylor was in my Sunday School Class and is now in and out of the Rest home. Roy Garrett ran a service station in Evergreen, Texas on U.S. 67 out of Stephenville towards Glen Rose from the 1920's to 1940's . He was gassed in World War ! and had enpesema . Jerry Parham runs a wrecking yard and used car & pickup lot there now. Herbert B Garrett of Stephenville, my parent's age, married Emma May English. Her dad owned the farm at Johnsville next to my home. On the old dirt load near Littles and Coxes on old dirt U.S.67 there was a two story log house where Aunt Etta Robinson (Moxley) - her family and others whose husbands were away to the Civil War. They shared the house because of Indians passing through to intertribal rallies at Comanche Peak. Some Scouts were seen in the area since the Texas Partizan Rangers(Irish and American) in the U.S. Army were active in German area around New Braunfels, Sisterdale, and Boerne. The women, kids and elderly men had to depend on each other. One Indian was shot by a Robinson wife. The old men went out & found a bullet between his eyes. He had died on a scouting expedition on the North Duffau Creek. He had been tied in a crouched position behind a bush by nother Indian scout so they would be gone when he was found. Herbert Garrett ran a mail route in Stephenville. I attended school with his daughter. Mom used to visit them some. Ring any Bells?
