    3. Dear folks, Don't remember name Morrison in Erath County, but come east from Alexander on the old, now gone, Texas Central Railroad (Katy) , through Hico, Iredell, and Walnut Springs, where the Texas Central Roundhouse, college, hospital, and shops were before Katy moved them to Waco. Half way to Morgan an Earl Morrison lived on a sheep and grain ranch, across the hiway from the RR in a brownstone house. Judy was in high school in the 1960's- her twin brother died on the football field (6 man football) they year before I moved there. She was a cheerleader and basketball player. She had an older brother. Earl was a deacon at Walnut Springs and gave my kids each an orphan lamb to feed. The bottles were soda pop bottle, so a Massey neighbor named them Pepsi and Billy and showed the kids how to feed them. Earl lived near the Morgan- Campbell ranch. Squire Morgan, brother to the owner, was our neighbor. Mrs. Morgan gave me a pendolum clock in their family for over 100 years as a graduation present when I finished my M. Ed. at Univ. of North Texas. Walnut Springs, Bosque County, joins Chalk Mountain, Erath County on the south side of Chalk Mountain ( Three Way School District. ) Johnsville, Chalk Mountain, Pony Creek, and inactive Marble(Greasy) past Skippers Gap to create Skippers Gap consolidated to create Three Way Schools between Stephenville and Glen Rose Districts- pretty long bus routes. PLAINVIEW CHURCH AND CEMETERY WERE NEAR THE CHALK MOUNTAIN SCHOOL. THE CHALK MOUNTAIN LODGE, THE OLDEST ACTIVE IN TEXAS, WAS 3 OR 4 MILES TOWARD GLEN ROSE. Chalk Mountain, Johnsville, and Skippers Gap post offices are gone now. Happy hunting.
