I am seeking information on the Hook,Brown & Defoor(Defore) families of Erath County.I have very little information on these families.I was told that Emma Marks married a Hook & that she is buried in the Smith Springs Cemetery in Erath County. I know that Elizabeth married James DeFoor. I am also trying to find the connection between ? Brown who played with Bob Wills & his band.I know he is buried in the Smith Springs Cemetery.I was told he was a first cousin of my grandmother Mefford. I am also trying to find out what happen to a Sarah Stevens who married Jacob Mefford on August 16,1876 in Erath County. While doing research on the Corinth Cemetery,I read that another cemetery named the Plainview Cemetery is supposed to be located on the road south toward Dublin. I was wondering if any one knew anything about either of these cemeteries.Was there a town or city located near or by these cemeteries. My parents,sister & grandmother are buried in the Corinth Cemetery.I remember there was a one time a church located by it. I do have names of some of the people buried at both cemeteries if anyone is interested in it. JoAnn
